Privacy policy

The short version. You can use the site without an account. We collect an email address only if you sign up for alerts. We use Google Analytics to count visits and may show Google ads, both of which use cookies.
Email alerts
If you subscribe, we store your email address on our server and use it only to send Fear & Greed alerts. Every alert has an unsubscribe link; using it removes your address from the list. We don’t sell or share the list.
Storage in your browser
The site saves a few small settings in your browser’s local storage: your light or dark theme, whether you closed the disclaimer, that you subscribed to alerts, where you left the music player, and a short cache of recent readings. They stay on your device and you can clear them in your browser settings.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. Google sets cookies and receives your IP address and browser details to do this. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads based on those visits.

Music player
The optional trading playlist plays through YouTube’s embedded player, which loads from YouTube and may set its own cookies.
Fonts and server logs
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser) for security and troubleshooting.

The indices are built from public market data. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
