How it's calculated
The Insider Sentiment Index is led by seniority-weighted open-market buying, parsed directly from SEC EDGAR Form 4 filings. Only open-market purchases and sales (transaction codes P and S) are counted; option exercises, grants and gifts are excluded. Selling is included as a capped secondary factor so no single large seller dominates the reading.

Data sourced directly from
SEC EDGAR Form 4 filings — legally mandated disclosures that corporate insiders must file within 2 business days of any trade. Only open-market purchases and sales (transaction codes P and S) are counted; option exercises, grants and gifts are excluded. The score is led by buy conviction, weighting each purchase by the insider's seniority (CEO/CFO highest), with selling included as a capped secondary factor. Computed over a rolling 30-day window and updated daily after market close. Not financial advice.
